Chaffe Village Dog Park

Chaffe Village Dog Park is the first dog park on Fort Hood that offers a safe and enjoyable place for both you and your four-legged friend. It’s also one of the few off-post dog parks in the Fort Hood area. The Dog Park facility offers an abundance of space, which makes it perfect for large breed dogs, such as Great Pyrenees, Saint Bernards, etc.

The Dog Park is located at Chaffe Village, a recreational and housing community developed by the Fort Hood Army installation. The community is conveniently located just five minutes from main gate on Goodfellow Road. Chaffe Village offers single or multi-family homes with rental units for Soldiers who want to live on post or civilians who want to temporarily reside in base housing.

Chaffe Village Dog Park is located at the Depot Mall within Fort Hood. It’s a dog-only park, and is open from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily. It’s owned and operated by the Fort Hood Veterinary Clinic, and it’s been open since June 2015. The dog park has both indoor and outdoor play areas, making it ideal for hot summer days when your dog needs more space to run around in than an indoor kennel can offer them.

This blog will give you all the information you need about Chaffe Village Dog Park – including its size, restrictions, cost, amenities, where to find it on Fort Hood, etc.

Fort Hood is home to more than 290,000 soldiers and their families. That’s why the Army has built Chaffe Village Dog Park in support of the Soldiers and their pets. The dog park offers dogs a chance to socialize with other dogs, get some exercise and enjoy a little fresh air. To make it easier for both you and your pet, here are some helpful tips on how to take care of your furry friend at Chaffe Village Dog Park.

Chaffe Village Dog Park is located at the Chaffe Village and Recreation Center on Fort Hood. The dog park is open from sunrise to sunset daily, except when it rains, and also closes one hour before sunset. You can bring your dogs for a walk anytime without booking an appointment; however, you will need to make an appointment if you want to take your dog for a walk in the off-leash area. Dogs must wear a collar with tags, have a leash not exceeding six feet in length and be at least three months old.

This dog park offers separate areas for small dogs, medium size dogs and large dogs. You can choose from five different play yards that are available in the dog park: Two standard kennels (one of which is circular), one grassy yard with benches and two fenced-in enclosures for large dogs. There is also an enclosed bridge running across the creek where you can take your pup for some swimming fun.
